I want to say that I am sorry.
What I did was wrong;
I expected way too much,
way too quickly.

I shouldn't let your trust in me,
or lack there of,
dictate my trust in you.

I like you too much to give it all up
without a fight.
I need to talk to you
so that you might forgive me.

I asked so many questions
because I feared you would be the same...
but you are not him;
you are you and he is he

Now I can clearly see
that he and I
were never meant to be.
